On Friday, February 2, an NYPD Field Intelligence Officer assigned to the 32nd Precinct recovered an illegal handgun, after questioning a suspected robber.

Following a pattern of robberies and shooting incidents, Police Officer Daniel Wadolowski—a Field Intelligence Officer assigned to the 32nd Precinct—spotted a man walking down Lenox Avenue, in the vicinity of the recent crimes, who fit the description of the wanted suspect. Officer Wadolowski realized that the man was not the perpetrator after stopping and questioning him, but the man revealed that he was carrying a loaded firearm. Officer Wadolowski placed him under arrest, recovering a stolen semi-automatic handgun with a defaced serial number, as well as a quantity of marijuana.
