WANTED: Grand Larceny Pattern (Manhattan)

The New York City Police Department is asking the public for assistance with locating and identifying the individual in the attached video and photograph, who is wanted in connection to several grand larcenies that occurred within the confines of the 26 Precinct. Details are as follows:

 Incident #1: It was reported to police that on Thursday January 11, 2018 at approximately 12:30 p.m. inside of the 125 Street “1” subway station, the individual snatched the 20-year-old male victim’s cell phone from his hand as he sat inside of a southbound “1” train. The individual ran down to the street area and fled southbound on Broadway towards the Grant Housing Development.

 Incident #2: It was reported to police that on Thursday January 11, 2018 at approximately 9:30 p.m. inside of the 125 Street “1” subway station, the individual snatched the 37-year-old female victim’s cell phone from her hands as she walked up the stairs to the southbound platform. The individual ran down to the street area and fled southbound on Broadway towards the Grant Housing Development.

 The individual is described as a:

  • Male, black, 16 to 25 years old, 5’9″
  • Last seen wearing a black hooded sweater and gray sweatpants.
  • The individual wore white sneakers during the daytime incident and light blue sneakers during the evening one.
