(NY Post)- Joseph Bitetto was a premature newborn when an EMT saved his life in a Brooklyn bathroom.
On Thursday — 22 years later — the baby and the paramedic laid eyes on each other again for the first time, as Bitetto became an EMT himself.
“They brought me on stage and it was crazy,” an emotional Bitetto said of meeting medic-turned NYPD detective Howard Blanck during the FDNY’s EMS graduation ceremony in East New York.
“I am overjoyed at the moment. I’ve always loved this Department and I knew this was the direction I wanted to go in. I feel like I am dreaming right now, it is an amazing day,” Bitetto added.
