WANTED: Police Impersonation Grand Larceny (Manhattan)

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals depicted in the attached video wanted for questioning in connection to a police impersonation grand larceny that occurred within the confines of the 10th Precinct. Details are as follows:

 It was reported to the police that on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at approximately 4:30 a.m. a 20-year-old female was exiting 453 West 17th Street (1 Oak) walking on West 17th Street, when a unidentified male approached her from behind and removed her purse containing her wallet with crediti cards and an undetermined amount of cash. The victim turned around and gave chase to the individual for about two blocks when two other unidentified males approached the victim and displayed a silver shield who stated he was a police officers. The males fled in unknown direction with the victim’s property.

 Individual #3:

  • Male Black
  • Wearing a dark colored jacket with a light hooded sweater,
  • Dark jeans, black and white sneakers and was acting in concert.
