The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual depicted in the attached photographs in connection to a grand larceny that occurred within the confines of the 122 Precinct. Details are as follows:
It was reported to police that on Monday October 30, 2017, at approximately 9:00 p.m. in the vicinity of Rose Avenue and 8 Street, an unknown individual gained entry into the 35 year-old female victim’s unsecured and unattended vehicle and removed her purse. Among the items inside her purse were 11 credit cards and jewelry worth approximately $13,000. Later that day, between 10:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. the individual used one of the victim’s credit cards to purchase merchandise at Jay Rip Grocery (44 New Dorp Plaza), Speedway (2488 Hylan Boulevard) and 7-Eleven (2477 Hyland Boulevard).
The individual is described as:
- A light skinned male with a black backpack; last seen wearing a black knit cap, a black hooded sweater with red and white lettering on its chest, black sweatpants and black and white sneakers.
