Brooklyn North Warrant Squad Arrests Suspect Wanted for Burglary Pattern

Collaboration between the Brooklyn North Warrant Squad, 70 Precinct, and 63 Precinct resulted in the apprehension of a serial burglar in Brooklyn. Detective Ross, of the Brooklyn North Warrant Squad, was assigned to investigate a parole absconder who was wanted in connection with a burglary in the 70 Precinct. Over the course of the investigation, NYPD members determined that the suspect was additionally¬†responsible for several burglaries throughout Brooklyn’s 70 and 63 Precincts.

The Warrant Squad worked with the 70 Precinct, 63 Precinct, and Narcotics to determine locations the suspect often frequents. While canvassing these areas, Warrant Squad officers spotted the suspect exiting Gershwin Park within the confines of the 75 Precinct. When the officers approached the suspect, he immediately fled. After a brief foot pursuit, the officers arrested the man. Upon further investigation, the officers were able to close out 10 open burglary complaints throughout the borough.
