The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying an individual in the attached surveillance video and photos in connection to an assault on an on-duty NYPD Traffic Agent that occurred within the confines of the 121 Precinct. Details are as follows:
It was reported to police that on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at approximately 2:54 p.m. a 50-year-old male victim (NYPD Traffic Agent), was walking near the corner of Heberton Street and Post Avenue, when an unidentified individual approached him from behind and punched the agent in the throat with a closed fist. The victim fell to the ground and was temporarily knocked unconscious. EMS responded to the location and transported the agent to Staten Island University Hospital North, where he was treated and subsequently released for a head injury and contusion to the neck.
- The individual is described as a male black, 20’s, thin build, last seen wearing a black t-shirt and grey pants.
