Queens Warrant Squad Recovers 3 Illegal Firearms in 1 Week

During a single week in August, members of the elite Queens Warrant Squad successfully arrested two violent felons and recovered three illegal firearms in the borough. On August 23, the Queens Warrant Squad pursued a suspect wanted for menacing with a firearm within the confines of the 106 Precinct. When the team entered the location at 131st Street, the officers were able to arrest the suspect without incident. Their subsequent search resulted in the recovery of a 9mm glock and a .40 caliber JCP High Point model.

On August 30, the Queens Warrant Squad pursued an active felony parole warrant within the confines of the 101 Precinct. When the officers arrived at the suspect’s known location, they entered and successfully apprehended him. During his arrest, the suspect was found in possession of a .357 magnum firearm. Great work by the Queens Warrant Squad for taking three guns off the streets and arresting two violent felons. Their strong investigative skills and sound tactics ensured that these arrests were safely and swiftly conducted.
