The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual depicted in the attached video and photograph in connection to an attempted unlawful imprisonment incident that occurred within the confines of the 83 Precinct. Details are as follows:
It was reported to police that on Tuesday September 26, 2017, at approximately 8:30 a.m. inside of the Myrtle/Wyckoff Avenue subway station, the individual grabbed the 11 year-old male victim by the arm and prevented him from getting on a Queens bound “M” train. The individual told the victim he was going to get him and followed the victim as he tried to get away from him. Once on the “L” line platform the victim sought aid from a good Samaritan and used her cell phone to call the police. The individual then fled back to the “M” line platform where he boarded a Queens bound “M” train.
The individual is described as a:
- Male Hispanic, in his 30s, 5’10”; last seen wearing black shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.
