The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified vehicle and/or its operator wanted for questioning in connection with leaving the scene of an accident within the confines of the 121st Precinct. Details are as follows:
It was reported to police that on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the intersection of Leonard Avenue and Neal Dow Avenue, the unidentified operator of the vehicle struck a 12-year-old male victim who was riding a bicycle. The victim was transported to Richmond University Medical Center, where he was treated for a broken leg and released.
- The unidentified vehicle is a white 4-door Jeep Wrangler with a black top.
Surveillance video is attached it was taken from a residence on Lathrop Avenue and shows the unidentified vehicle turn from St. John Avenue onto Lathrop Avenue shortly before the incident.
