The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual depicted in the attached video and photograph in connection to a grand larceny that occurred within the confines of the 121 Precinct. Details are as follows:
It was reported to police that on Tuesday September 12, 2017, at approximately 10:00 p.m. in front of 1351 Forest Avenue (Stop and Shop supermarket), the 52 year-old female victim placed her pocketbook inside of the passenger’s side of her vehicle. As she walked around to sit inside the driver’s seat, a female individual snatched the pocketbook from the passenger’s seat and ran off. Two good Samaritans managed to take back the pocketbook from the female but the victim subsequently discovered her wallet was no longer inside. Among the items inside her wallet were $500 in cash and 10 credit cards. Pursuant to an active investigation, it was determined that on September 13, 2017, at approximately 1208 hours, inside of 1227 Forest Avenue (Walgreens), one of the victim’s cards was used by a male individual to purchase merchandise.
The individual is described as a light skinned male, with a mustache; last seen wearing a dark colored baseball cap, a dark colored hooded sweater and light colored pants.
