WANTED: Attempted Rape (Manhattan)

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual depicted in the attached video and photograph in connection to an attempted rape that occurred within the confines of the Midtown North Precinct. Details are as follows:

 It was reported to police that on Friday September 1, 2017, at approximately 4:20 a.m. in front of 414 West 51 Street, the individual grabbed the 27 year-old female victim from behind, covered her mouth with his hand and tried to pull her pants down. The victim fought off the individual and yelled out for help. The individual then fled on foot westbound on 51 Street.

 The individual is described as a:

  •  Male black, in his 40s; last seen wearing a hooded sweater with white lettering on the front, dark colored pants and black sneakers.
