Bronx Cops Arrest Man For Menacing & Recover An Illegal Gun

Determined investigative work by patrol officers resulted in the recovery of an illegal handgun in the Bronx. On Saturday, August 19, Sergeant Cruz and Police Officer Stava of the 42 Precinct responded to a 911 call of a man with a gun at 495 East 168 Street. Upon arrival they interviewed two men who had been involved in a dispute and based on their investigation, the officers determined that one of them had menaced the other with a firearm. After de-escalating the situation their investigation lead to the recovery of a loaded .22 cal revolver. The suspect was subsequently arrested.
