NYPD Officers Connect With The Community At The Melrose Family Day In The Bronx

“It’s one of our biggest events of the year. It’s always a pleasure to spend a day with the community,” said NCO Police Officer Ivane Epitashvili.

NYPD Neighborhood Coordination Officers (NCO) assigned to Police Service Area 7 (PSA 7) recently attended the annual Melrose Family Day in the Bronx on Saturday, August 19. The long running event is an opportunity for housing police officers to engage with the community that they serve within the Melrose Housing Development. The officers interacted with community members during throughout the day which included barbecuing, basketball and music. People danced to a local DJ and watched performances put on by their fellow residents, while local politicians stopped by to offer their support.
