The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying the individual depicted in the attached surveillance photos in regards to a robbery pattern that occurred within the confines of the 40 Precinct. Details are as follows:
Incident 1: It was reported to the police that on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at 3:50 p.m. the victim, a 57-year old male was in front of 700 East 156 Street, when he was approached by an individual who displayed a firearm and demanded the victim’s property. While struggling with the individual a second male approached the victim from behind and struck him in the back of the head. The victim fell to the ground with a laceration to his head and a sprained ankle. The individuals fled the location with the victim’s gold necklace, pendant and watch. The Victim was removed to Lincoln Hospital.
Incident 2: It was reported to the police that on Monday, July 17, 2017 at 4:34 p.m. the victim, a 39-year old male was in the rear of 829 Cauldwell Avenue, when he was approached the individuals, one of whom brandished a firearm and demanded the victim’s property. The individual struck the victim in the face, while the other individual removed money, cellphone and other property from the victim’s pocket. The victim sustained a laceration to the face, but refused medical attention. The individuals fled the location in an unknown direction.
- The individuals are male, Hispanics, dark complexion, 20-30 years of age.
