The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified males who are seen in the attached surveillance photo and video and are sought in connection with a robbery within the confines of the 72nd Precinct. Details are as follows:
It was reported to police that on Monday, July 3, 2017 at 10:00 p.m. in front of 467 Prospect Avenue, two unidentified males approached the victim, a 37-year-old female, from behind. Unidentified Male #1 covered the victim’s head with a shirt or hooded sweatshirt. Unidentified Male #2 then removed the victim’s wallet, which contained $300, and her Samsung Galaxy cellphone from a bag the victim was carrying on her right shoulder. The unidentified males then pushed the victim to the ground and fled on foot westbound on Prospect Avenue and then north on 8th Avenue. The victim suffered a laceration to her right elbow, however, she refused medical attention.
- Unidentified Male #1 is black. He was wearing a light-color t-shirt, black Adidas pants and dark-color sneakers and was carrying a shirt or hooded sweatshirt over his shoulder.
- Unidentified Male #2 is black. He was wearing a blue t-shirt, dark shorts and black sneakers.
Surveillance photos and video show the unidentified males walking on Prospect Park West, between Windsor Place and Prospect Avenue, immediately before the incident.
