WANTED: Attempted Sexual Assault Pattern (Brooklyn)

Pursuant to an active investigation, two additional incidents were added to this pattern. Furthermore, new footage of the individual was gathered and submitted by investigators. Details of the incidents are as follows:

Incident #3: It was reported to police that on Wednesday July 12, 2017, at approximately 11:45 p.m. inside of a residential building in the vicinity of Pacific Street and Nostrand Avenue, the individual followed the 22 year-old female victim to the outside of her apartment, placed his hand over her mouth and pressed her against the hallway wall. The individual touched the victim’s genitals and told her he wanted sex. The victim screamed and fought off the individual. The individual released the victim and fled the building in an unknown direction.

Incident #4: It was reported to police that on Thursday July 13, 2017, at approximately 1:00 am. inside of a residential building in the vicinity of St. Marks Avenue and New York Avenue, the individual followed the 29 year-old female victim to her apartment and pushed her inside when she opened the door. The individual placed his hand over the victim’s mouth and wrapped his other arm around her body. The victim fought back and the individual fled the apartment and out of the building in an unknown direction.

The New York City Police Department is asking the public for assistance with locating and identifying the individual in the attached video and photograph, who is wanted in connection to two attempted rapes that occurred within the confines of the 77 Precinct. Details are as follows:

 Incident #1: It was reported to police that on Thursday July 13, 2017, at approximately 2:00 a.m. inside of a residential building in the vicinity of Albany Avenue and Sterling Place, the individual followed the 22 year-old female victim to the front of her apartment and pushed her inside when she opened the door. The individual placed his hand over the victim’s mouth and dragged her down to the floor. He touched her genitals as he told her he had a knife and would kill her if she didn’t keep quiet. The victim fought back and kneed the individual in the groin. The individual then fled the apartment and out of the building in an unknown direction.

 Incident #2: It was reported to police that on Thursday July 13, 2017, at approximately 3:36 a.m. inside of a residential building in the vicinity of Pacific Street and Nostrand Avenue, the individual followed the 32 year-old female victim onto the elevator. When the elevator stopped on the victim’s floor and she stepped off, the individual placed his hand over her mouth and attempted to pull her down to the floor. The victim screamed and punched and kicked at the individual. The individual released the victim and fled the building in an unknown direction.

 The individual is described as a:

  •  Male, black, in his 20s, 6’0″ to 6’2″, with a goatee; last seen wearing a black shirt with white lettering, light blue jeans, a black baseball cap and white sneakers.
