Quality of life enforcement by NYPD police officers in the Bronx lead to the recovery of a loaded handgun and other weapons.
On Wednesday June 21, Police Officers Pisano and Ruiz of the 52 Precinct observed two men drinking alcohol near a parked car at Moshulu Parkway and Knox Place. As the officers approached the individuals, they noticed one of the men throw something under the car. After further investigation, the officers recovered a loaded handgun and place the man who threw it under arrest. The vehicle was impounded and additional weapons were found after a subsequent inventory.
Arrested: Male, 45 years old
Charges: Criminal Possession of a Weapon (multiple counts)
A summons was issued to the other man for an open alcoholic container.
