The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual depicted in the attached sketch in connection to an attempted rape that occurred within the confines of the 52 Precinct. Details are as follows:
It was reported to police that on Monday May 29, 2017, between 12:00 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. in the vicinity of Mosholu Parkway and Southern Boulevard, the unidentified individual engaged the 26 year-old female victim in conversation and followed her into a nearby park. Once inside the park, the individual exposed himself to the victim and offered to give her cash if she would gratify him. The victim refused and walked away from the individual. As she did so, the individual unbuttoned her pants. This caused the victim to fall to the ground. After she got up, she continued to walk out of the park. The individual again engaged her in conversation and then put his hands down the victim’s shirt and touched her breast. The individual then fled the park in an unknown direction.
The individual is described as:
- Male Hispanic, 26 to 28 years old, 5’9″ to 5’11”, slim build, with a beard; last seen wearing a gray hooded sweater, gray sweatpants and black sneakers.
