The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying the individual depicted in the attached photo who is wanted for questioning in connection to an assault that occurred within the confines of the 50 Precinct. Details are as follows:
It was reported to police that on Wednesday, May 31st 2017 in the vicinity of Claflin Avenue and West 195th Street at approximately 12:45 a.m. an unidentified male did approach the 34 year old victim from behind and ordered him to the ground with a firearm displayed. The victim refused to comply and turned to face the suspect. The suspect fled the location and began to discharge several rounds at the victim while crouched behind a parked vehicle. The victim was struck once in the shoulder. The suspect then fled in an unknown direction. The victim transported himself to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The individual is described as a:
- Male Hispanic who is 20-30 years old, 5’7″ tall, who was last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt, and jeans.
