WANTED: Attempted Robbery (Brooklyn)

The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance in locating and identifying the unidentified individual depicted in the attached photo wanted for questioning in connection to an attempted robbery that occurred within the confines of the 62nd Precinct.                                      

It was reported to police that on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at approximately 10:30 a.m. an unidentified male individual entered DF Brothers Sports Center located at 7919 New Utrecht Avenue and asked to see a firearm. The 60-year-old male victim asked the male for a permit when the male suddenly peppered sprayed the victim and used a sledge hammer to break the display case. The victim discharged his weapon and the male fled the location in an unknown direction. 

 The individual is described as a:

  •  Male Hispanic, in his mid-20s, approximately 5’10” tall and 170lbs.
