The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying the individual depicted in the attached surveillance video regarding a robbery that occurred within the confines of the 75 Precinct. Details are as follows:
It was reported to police that on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. inside the subway station located at Pitkin Avenue and Euclid Avenue, an unknown male entered the southbound “C” train at Rockaway Boulevard, sat next to a 17-year-old male victim and stated “what kind of phone do you have?” As the train pulled into the Euclid Avenue train station, the unknown male displayed a black firearm, struck the victim in the face and forcibly removed the cell phone from his hand before fleeing the scene. The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated and released from Brookdale Hospital.
The unknown individual is described as a:
- Male, black, approximately 17-years-old, 5’8″ tall with a short black Afro. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, black and white sneakers, a black jacket, black backpack and a black and yellow scarf.
