WANTED: Grand Larceny (Manhattan)

The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying the individual depicted in the attached surveillance photo in regards to a grand larceny that occurred within the confines of the 13 Precinct. Details are as follows:

 It was reported to the police that on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 1:12 p.m. the victim, an 84-year old female was walking in the vicinity of 262 1 Avenue, when the individual came in front of her and snatched her chain from around her neck. The individual fled the location northbound on First Avenue then westbound towards East 16 Street. There were no reported injuries during the incident.

 The individual is a:

  •  Male, white approximately 20 years of age, light complexion, 160 lbs.

Last seen wearing a:

  •  Black coat, blue jeans, and black sneakers.
