WANTED: Assault (Manhattan)

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals depicted in the attached photographs in connection to an assault that occurred within the confines of the 5 Precinct. Details are as follows:

 It was reported to police that on Friday April 7, 2017, at approximately 9:05 p.m. inside of a northbound “J” train, 6 to 7 individuals punched and kicked the two male victims (a 29 year-old and a 53 year-old) following a dispute. In addition, one of the individuals struck the 29 year-old victim on the head with a hammer multiple times. The individuals fled the train at the Bowery Street station. The victim suffered contusions to his head and was removed to an area hospital in serious but stable condition.

  •  The first individual is a male, black, in his 20s, slim build; last seen wearing a gray coat and black pants.
  •  The second individual is a male, black, in his 20s, medium build; last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants and yellow boots.
  •  The third individual is a male, black, in his 20s, heavy set; last seen wearing a black hooded sweater.
  •  The fourth individual is a male, black, in his 20s, slim build; last seen wearing black and brown coat and a black du-rag on his head.

 The remaining individuals (not pictured) are described as male blacks in their 20s.
