Bronx Patrol Cops Arrest Robbery Suspects

A quick response and good training helped two police officers arrest a pair of suspected armed robbers on a Bronx street corner last week. Police Officer Hernandez and his partner Police Officer Rao were canvasing the vicinity of Seabury Avenue and Boston Road for two robbery suspects after responding to a 911 call.

The two police officers observed a man and a woman that fit the description given by the 911 caller and stopped the suspects. Officer Hernandez observed a handgun inside the woman’s purse that was partially open. The pair was placed under arrest and a loaded .380 handgun was recovered. The man and woman were charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
