WANTED: Leaving the Scene of an Accident (Queens)

The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance locating the whereabouts of the individual in the attached photo wanted for questioning with regards to the a leaving the scene of an accident with injuries in the confines of the 102nd Precinct. Details are as follows:

 On Sunday, March 12, 2017 at approximately 4:18 a.m. police responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision in the vicinity of Atlantic Ave and 85th Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 21-year-old male front seated passenger with trauma about the body. A preliminary investigation determined that a 19-year-old operator of a 2008 Acura was traveling westbound in the left lane on Atlantic Ave when it lost control, struck a parked vehicle and a tree where it came to rest in the vicinity of Atlantic Ave and 85th Street. The driver of this vehicle fled the scene of the collision in an unknown direction. The 21-year-old passenger in this vehicle was removed by EMS to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition.

The identity of the driver being sought in connection to leaving the scene of an accident is as follows:

  • Camacho, Aidan
  • 19-year-old male

 The individual being sought is described as a:

  • Male Hispanic, 19 years old, 5’8″, 130lbs with black hair and brown eyes.
  • He was last seen wearing a white hooded long sleeve sweatshirt with dark pants and shoes.

 The passenger of the vehicle has succumbed to his injuries on Monday, March 13, 2017. The investigation remains ongoing.
