The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the following male black individual in connection to a homicide within the confines of the 44 Precinct. Details are as follows:
On Wednesday February 8, 2017, at approximately 9:10 p.m. police responded to a 911 call of shots fired in the vicinity of 1195 Sherman Avenue. Upon arrival, responding officers discovered two males shot; a 24 year-old shot in the buttocks and an 18 year-old shot in the arm and torso. EMS also responded to the scene and transported both males to Lincoln Hospital where the 18 year-old was pronounced deceased. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
The deceased is identified as follows:
- Lanier, Zachary
- 18 year-old male
- Bronx, NY
