The New York Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the operator of the vehicle depicted in the attached photo in regards to an attempted arson that occurred within the confines of the 120th Precinct. The details are as follows:
On Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at approximately 2:50 a.m. an unidentified male was observed in the vicinity of Jersey Street and Benzinger Avenue throwing an incendiary device toward an unoccupied parked NYPD Command Post Vehicle. The individual fled the scene toward York and Brighton Avenues. There was no damage to the department vehicle or any injuries sustained as a result of this incident.
The unidentified individual is described as:
- Male, Black wearing dark clothing and fled in an unknown vehicle.
