The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified male seen in the attached surveillance still and video, who is sought in connection with a grand larceny in Transit within the confines of the 102nd Precinct/ Transit District 20. Details are as follows:
It was reported to police that on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at 4:20 a.m. aboard a Queens-bound E Train, Unidentified Male #1 approached the victim, a 23-year-old male, from behind as the train stopped and the doors opened at the Jamaica/Van Wyck station. Unidentified Male #1 grabbed the victim’s chain from his neck, causing the chain and an angel pendant to fall onto the victim’s chest. Unidentified Male #2 then removed the chain and pendant, valued at a total of $300, from the victim’s chest and exited the train and the subway station. Unidentified Male #1 fled to parts unknown. The victim continued on the subway and later reported the incident to police.

- He was wearing glasses and a distinctive beanie cap.
