“The car met the description that we received over the radio. When the three occupants got out of the car we noticed the woman’s distinctive cherry red hair color and we were sure that we had the right people,” said Sergeant Egan.

A car stop by NYPD Housing officers resulted in the arrest of three suspects wanted for an attempted home invasion robbery. Sergeant Egan and Police Officer Kardian of Police Service Area 8 were on patrol in the vicinity of East 174 Street and Ward Avenue last Monday when they observed a vehicle that matched the description of a car being driven by suspects wanted in an attempted home invasion robbery that took place short time earlier.

The officers followed the dark colored Honda Accord into a parking lot and stopped the car that contained three occupants. Police officers from the 49 Precinct brought one of the victims of the attempted robbery to the parking lot and the three suspects were positively identified. The occupants of the vehicle were arrested and a loaded Glock 9mm handgun was recovered.

Two men and a woman were charged with Attempted Robbery and Criminal Possession of a Weapon.
