The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual depicted in the attached video and photograph in connection to a robbery that occurred within the confines of the 13 Precinct. Details are as follows:
It was reported to police that on Monday January 23, 2017, at approximately 12:40 p.m. inside of 203 East 27 Street, the individual stabbed the 78 year-old male victim multiple times in the chest and demanded money. The victim struggled against the individual’s assault but relented and gave the individual approximately $80 in cash from his pants’ pocket. The individual stabbed and cut the victim a few more times before he fled the store eastbound on East 27 Street. The victim suffered numerous stab wounds to his chest, lacerations to his face, a fractured skull and a punctured left lung. The victim was removed to an area hospital in critical but stable condition.
The individual is described as a:
- Male Hispanic, 40 to 50 years old, 5’8 to 5’11, 160 to 190lbs, with a beard; last seen wearing a blue hooded coat, blue jeans and black sneakers.
