The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying the individual depicted in the attached surveillance photos in regards to an attempted robbery that occurred within the confines of the 19 Precinct. Details are as follows:
It was reported to the police that on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at 5:33 p.m. the individuals entered the Sephora department store located at 750 Lexington Avenue, removed items from the shelf and attempted to walk out the store. The individuals were stopped by store employees where they dropped the items and individual #2 sprayed both employees, a 24-year-old female and a 21-year male in the face with what is believed to be pepper spray. The employees were treated by EMS on the scene and the individuals fled the location southbound on Lexington Avenue.
- Individual 1: male, Black, approximately 20-25 years of age, 5’7″, 18 lbs., dark complexion, last seen wearing a black hat, black jeans, and black bubble coat.
- Individual 2: female, Black, approximately 20-25 years of age, 5’5″, 135 lbs., dark complexion, long black hair, last seen wearing a purple bubble coat, blue jeans, and white sneakers.
