Brooklyn Search Warrant Recovers Powerful Handgun

Police officers assigned to the 79 Precinct in Brooklyn and the NYPD Intelligence Bureau applied for a search warrant after conducting an investigation into illegal firearms. Last week the officers conducted a search of an apartment in the Marcy Public Housing Development where three arrests were made and three illegal firearms and a large amount of marijuana were recovered. Two men and a woman were charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Criminal Possession of Marijuana.

“The .44  magnum Desert Eagle is one of the most powerful and dangerous handguns in the world. I’m glad that we were able to take it off the streets,” said Sergeant Paul Scocca, the 79 Precinct Field Intelligence Officer.
