The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified male seen in the attached photo and video, who is sought in connection with an assault in Transit within the confines of Transit District 20/ the 108th Precinct. Details are as follows:
It was reported to police that on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 10:00 p.m. aboard a Queens-bound 7 Train at the 46th Street Station, an unidentified male struck the victim, a 45-year-old male, in the face with a closed fist. Immediately preceding the assault, the unidentified male was involved in a dispute with a third male. The victim was not involved in that verbal dispute, however, the unidentified male struck the victim because he believed the victim was recording that dispute on his cellphone. The victim, who was knocked to the ground, suffered a bruise to his head and a bruise to his right arm. He refused medical attention at the scene. The victim and the unidentified male both disembarked the train at the 46th Street Station. The victim called 911 and remained at the scene. The unidentified male, who was accompanied by a female, exited the subway system.
The unidentified male is;
- Black, 18-20 years old, 6’00” with a medium build and black hair.
- He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and a long, white jacket.
