Transit Cops Arrest Man For Forcibly Touching A Woman

NYPD Transit Police Officers arrested a level three sex offender who was wearing an ankle monitoring device after observing him sexually abuse a woman last week. Sergeant Ramirez and Police Officers Kadrijaj and Kharal, all of the Transit District 1 Special Operations Unit, were patrolling the 42 Street and Times Square subway station.

The police officers observed a 66-year-old man expose himself and forcibly touch a woman after positioning himself behind her on the platform. The officers intervened and placed the man under arrest. Subsequent investigation revealed that the man was a registered sex offender and wearing a monitoring device on his ankle. The man was charged with sexual abuse.
