WANTED: Transit Grand Larceny Pattern (Manhattan)

The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying the individual depicted in the attached surveillance photos wanted for questioning in regards to a grand larceny pattern that occurred within the confines of the 5th, Midtown South and Midtown North Precincts. Details are as follows:

  •  Incident #1: It was reported to the police that on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 2:50 p.m. an unidentified male approached a 57-year-old female victim who was on board a northbound “N” train in Times Square when he snatched her necklace and fled to parts unknown.
  •  Incident #2: It was reported to the police that on Wednesday, September 07, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. the male approached a 39-year-old female victim who was on board a southbound “Q” train in Herald Square when he snatched her necklace and fled to parts unknown.
  •  Incident #3: It was reported to the police that on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 8:15 a.m. an unidentified male approached a 25-year-old female victim who was on board a northbound “F” train in the Lafayette station when he snatched necklace and fled to parts unknown.
  •  Incident #4: It was reported to the police that on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 6:29 p.m. the male approached a 30-year-old female victim who was on a northbound “Q” train at the 59th Street Station when he snatched her necklace and fled to parts unknown.
  •  Incident #5: It was reported to the police that on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 8:50 a.m. the male approached a 64-year-old female victim who was on board a northbound “6” train at the Lexington Ave station when he snatched her necklace and fled to parts unknown.
  •  Incident #6: It was reported to the police that on Saturday , October 8, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. the male approached a 54-year-old female victim who was on board a southbound “F” train in the Rockefeller station when he snatched her necklace and fled to parts unknown.

 In all incidents the individual snatches the chains from the victims as the train come to stop and runs off the train. He is described as a male Black, 30-35 years old, 6’2″, 170lbs and was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, and blue jeans.
