The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual depicted in the attached video and photograph in connection to a robbery that occurred within the confines of the 19 Precinct. Details are as follows:
It was reported to police that on October 25, 2016, at approximately 3:00 p.m. inside of Carl Schurz Park (Park Avenue and East 90 Street), the individual approached the 85 year-old male victim from behind and punched him in the side of the head. The victim fell to the ground and suffered lacerations to the back of his head and above his right eye. He was removed to Mt. Sinai Hospital in stable condition. The individual fled southbound on the promenade.
The individual is described as a:
- Male black, in his 40s, with a black backpack; last seen wearing a black coat, blue jeans, and a red knit cap.
