The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual depicted in the attached photograph in connection to an attempted robbery that occurred within the confines of the 60 Precinct. Details are as follows:
It was reported to police that on Sunday July 10, 2016, at approximately 2:34 p.m. in front of 2949 West 28 Street, the 42 year-old male victim, a cab driver, dropped off a fare. Two suspects approached him and posed as customers. When they got closer to him they opened the driver’s side door, displayed a gun and demanded his property. When the victim refused, they hit him with the gun. A struggle ensued and the suspects fled empty-handed. The victim suffered a small laceration on the chin and he refused medical attention at the scene.
- The first individual is a male, black, 13 to 16 years old; last seen wearing a black hooded sweater, dark colored jeans and white sneakers.
- The second individual was apprehended on July 22, 2016 at 1730 hours. He’s identified as a 14 year-old male who was charged with robbery.
