The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Layquan Johnson who was released in error from a City of New York Department of Correction detention facility. Details are as follows:
At approximately 10:15 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 Johnson was released from 320 Jay Street (Brooklyn Supreme Court) in the confines of the 84th Precinct after providing DOC staff with false information.

- 22 years old
- 220 lbs.
He was wearing a grey sweatshirt, dark-colored pants, and light-colored sneakers.
Johnson was arrested for a non-fatal shooting that occurred on Wednesday, December 9, 2015.
