Officers in the 113 Precinct collected hundreds of prom dresses and some men’s dress clothing.
Dozens of teens lined up at the Edward Byrne Police Athletic League in Queens, where the “Prom Impact” event was held.
Applause and cheers filled the school gym as each potential prom queen emerged from a dressing room wearing her new gown.
Officers were also on hand to give a few lessons on how to tie a tie and to help pick out the perfect shoes.
Smiles were on the faces of all the local teens as they knew prom night was going to be great.
