NYPD Prom Impact Helps Teens In Need Look Great

NYPD cops and community members in Queens helped high school seniors look great for the upcoming prom season.

Officers in the 113 Precinct collected hundreds of prom dresses and some men’s dress clothing.

IMG_5411Dozens of teens lined up at the Edward Byrne Police Athletic League in Queens, where the “Prom Impact” event was held.

Applause and cheers filled the school gym as each potential prom queen emerged from a dressing room wearing her new gown.

IMG_5412Officers were also on hand to give a few lessons on how to tie a tie and to help pick out the perfect shoes.

IMG_5409Smiles were on the faces of all the local teens as they knew prom night was going to be great.
