WANTED: Attempted Sexual Abuse (Brooklyn)

 

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a male wanted for questioning with regards to an attempted sexual abuse that occurred in the confines of the 75th Precinct. Details are as follows:

It was reported to the police on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at approximately 8:30 a.m. that an 11-year-old female was walking in the vicinity of Elton Street and Pitkin Ave at 8:25 a.m. on her way to school when an unidentified male approached the female and grabbed her arm while exposing his private parts. The female screamed and the individual fled on foot westbound on Pitkin Avenue. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.

The individual is described as:

  • Male Black, approximately 20-years-old, 190lbs, 6’0″ tall
  • Last seen wearing a black hoodie jacket, black jeans, a baseball cap with red rim, glasses and black sneakers

Subsequent to an ongoing investigation, the following suspect has been identified and apprehended:

  • Hall, Akijah
  • 20-year-old black male
  • 426 Ashford Place
  • Brooklyn, NY

Charges:

  • Attempted Sexual Abuse
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Child
  • Public lewdness
  • Harassment
