Rape (Staten Island)

imageThe New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 28-year-old Maurice Scott, wanted in connection to a rape that occurred within the confines of Staten Island’s 121 Precinct.

On Friday, February 19, 2016, at 5:30 p.m., the male entered an office building located on Forrest Avenue in Mariners Harbor and forcibly raped a 44-year-old female. The male also removed the victim’s jewelry, Samsung cellphone and cash before fleeing the scene. The victim was treated at Richmond University Medical Center.

The individual being sought has been identified as 28-year-old Maurice Scott, who is described as a male black, 6’0″, 290 pounds, with a dark complexion, heavy build, with black afro hair, brown eyes and facial hair. He also has a tattoo of a 5-point star on his left cheek. He was last seen wearing a green camouflage baseball hat, a green camouflage jacket and black pants. He is known to frequent the Mariners Harbor, New Brighton, West Brighton and Stapleton neighborhoods of Staten Island.
