NYPD officers, with help from NYPD issued smartphones, arrested a man who was wanted for public lewdness on a Manhattan subway train.  After the man allegedly exposed himself to passengers on the southbound 4, 5, and 6 line near Grand Central Station a CrimeStoppers wanted flier was created.

The flier was quickly disseminated to officers’ smartphones and the suspect was recognized by officers in East Harlem.  Lieutenant Scott Callahan, Sergeant Jim Paul, Police Officers Berlinda Acevedo and Flammond Beecham of the 25 Precinct recognized the photo of the 26-year-old man as someone who had been taken to the hospital on February 2. The officers went to Metropolitan Hospital to look for the suspect and arrested him after they found him still being treated.
