The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in locating and identifying two individuals and the vehicle used in a robbery that occurred at approximately 8:24 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2016, at 144-10 135 Avenue (Hampton Inn) in Queens.
A 20-year-old female (Victim #1) and a 53-year-old female (Victim #2) arrived at the location together in a vehicle. After Victim #2 entered the motel, person of interest #1 got into the driver’s side of the victims’ vehicle, produced a black firearm, and demanded money from victim #1. The 20-year-old victim had no money and the black male struck her with his firearm causing a laceration to her head. He then removed four rings (one ring is silver in color in the shape of an elephant) from victim #1. As victim #2 exited the motel the black male confronted her and demanded money. The 53-year-old victim struggled with the male who fired one time striking her in the torso. The male (Person of Interest #1) then fled on foot with victim #2’s handbag to a white 2005-2010 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Person of Interest #2. Both males then fled in the vehicle.
EMS responded to the scene and transported both females to Jamaica Hospital. Victim #1 was in stable condition and victim #2 was in critical condition. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
Person of Interest #1 – A black male, 30, 5’11, medium build, wearing a black ski mask, black Columbia jacket, black pants, and black sneakers.
Person of Interest #2 – A black male with braided hair.
