The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance ascertaining the whereabouts of Ruben Pizzaro AKA Chullo. Ruben is wanted for a homicide in the 48 Precinct (Bronx) on November 24, 2015 and a non-fatal shooting in the 34 Precinct (Manhattan) on December 31, 2015. There is no connection between the two events except that the same suspect is wanted in regards to both incidents.
On Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at 9:16 am Ruben, a 23-year-old Hispanic male, became involved in an argument with the victim, 24-year-old David Rivera, in the vicinity of 1805 Crotona Avenue, within the confines of the 48 Precinct. During the course of the argument, Ruben shot David in the torso, thigh, arm and groin as David ran from him. David was transported to St Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
On Thursday, December 31, 2015, at 1100 am Ruben, who was armed with a gun, jumped into a Ford Van that was parked in front of 54 Sherman Street, within the confines of the 34 Precinct. Once inside the van, Ruben ordered the driver, a 22-year-old male, to drive to Elwood Street where he removed the driver’s ID, jacket and debit card and told him to wait for him. Ruben then approached a second victim, a 29-year-old male, who was standing in front of 61 Ellwood Street. Ruben demanded his bookbag and then shot him in the shoulder. He then fled with the victim’s bookbag, containing a Playstation 4, back to the awaiting van. He then ordered the driver to drive to the Bronx where he fled the van. The driver was unharmed. The victim of the shooting was removed to Harlem Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
