WANTED: Attempted Robbery (Bronx)

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the following suspect wanted for an attempted commercial robbery that occurred within the confines of the 41 Precinct. Details are as follows:

On Monday, January 11, 2016 at 9:57 am a male suspect entered Kathy’s Dry Cleaners, located at 1216 Westchester Avenue, displayed a black semi-automatic firearm and demanded money. The suspect ordered the 57-year-old male employee to the back of establishment, removed his wallet from his back pocket, viewed the contents and threw it down to the ground. The suspect then ordered the victim at gunpoint to the front of establishment and ordered him to open the cash register. The victim replied to the suspect that he had no money because he had just opened the store. The suspect did not remove any property or money and fled the location. The victim was not injured.

The suspect is described as:

  • Male Black, approximately 6’00” tall, with a dark complexion,
  • Wearing blue jogging pants with white stripes, gloves, a brown coat, a black skull cap with a turtle neck covering his face.
