Counterterrorism Cops Bringing Smiles to the Faces of NYC Kids

While many of us have been busy with the hustle and bustle of this holiday season, a number of police officers and detectives from the NYPD Counterterrorism Bureau came together to give back to our community.

Last week, officers got in their cars and headed to Times Square. It wasn’t a normal assignment of a fixed post at a high profile location or reviewing threat information at 1 Police Plaza. It was different–a walk through the Toys R US with a toy adviser to pick out the best toys for kids across the city in need.

Having raised $2,700 and donated 600 toys to Toys for Tots, this group of officers came together to help those in need and bring a smile to many less fortunate in our city.

Perhaps this week the Department has a new slogan, New York’s Kindest.
