Three brothers will make history as they are part of more than 1,100 NYPD police officers graduating the Police Academy today. John, Stephen and Alec are the sons of a very proud father and NYPD deputy inspector, Anthony Favale. Assigned to the NYPD’s Organized Crime Bureau and once in charge of efforts to combat human trafficking, Deputy Inspector Favale said, ““It feels amazing. I couldn’t have planned it any better.”

After graduation, the brothers will go their separate ways. Stephen will head to the 120 Precinct on Staten Island, John to the 60 in Coney Island, Brooklyn, and Alec to the 6 Precinct in the West Village.

Mayor de Blasio and Police Commissioner Bratton will preside over the recruit graduation that will take place at Madison Square Garden Tuesday, at 11:00 a.m. Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson will also be in attendance as the recruits throw their white gloves in the air.
