Wanted For Police Impersonation

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a black male wanted in connection with a police impersonation that occurred at approximately 11:15 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2015, in the Bronx within the confines of the 46 Precinct.

The suspect, along with an apprehended male, knocked on the door to an apartment at the location. The suspects stated to the 60-year-old male victim that they were police officers, but once inside handcuffed the victim and threatened him with a firearm. The suspects then fled the location with the victim’s personal property.

Responding police units, alerted by a 911 call to the crime, encountered the suspects in a rear alleyway and were able to arrest one of them. The other suspect fled the location, leaving behind the victim’s property.

The suspect is a black male, 40-50 years old, 5’9″, 200lbs., and was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.
