Vision Zero: Enforcement & Proactive Outreach

The NYPD continues to promote the safety of drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists through Vision Zero. This includes raising awareness of rules and regulations, sharing safety tips, as well as enforcement initiatives. 

Last week the NYPD conducted a Citywide Pedestrian Safety Initiative, which focused on the prevention of pedestrian injuries that resulted in a 4,196 moving summonses being issued from Monday, June 15, 2015 through Sunday, June 21, 2015.
